The Paso Fino Horse, originally from South America, can now be found throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. In more recent years populations have popped up in Europe, the United Kingdom and now New Zealand.
The Paso Fino breed is purpose built to be a pleasure horse. The natural four beat gait has the same footfall as the walk but is accelerated and injected with a special energy called “brio”. This combination provides the rider with an unequivocally smooth and low-impact ride yet still feels exciting in the saddle.
The Paso Fino horse is known for it's spirit when ridden and it's trainable temperament. A well bred, quality horse should be sensitive and proud with a willingness to learn. The breed is suitable for riders of all ages an abilities. No matter what your experience there is a Paso Fino horse to suit you!
Paso Finos average around 14.1hh but are considered a horse not a pony. They are sturdy and strong and can easily carry a full grown adult over vast distances because of their unique gait. They are known to be prized endurance and competitive trail horses.
Everything abut the Paso Fino is natural from it's gait to it's long flowing mane and tail. All Paso Fino foals are seen to be gaiting from day one alongside their dam.
