Soho Pasos is located 16km from Wanaka and is a 1.5hr drive to Queenstown. Nestled in the foothills of the Southern Alps, Motatapu Station provides an idyllic setting for breeding and raising Paso Fino horses.
All of our Paso Finos are hill raised and trained on the farm. They are exposed from an early age to machinery, helicopters, road traffic, dogs, sheep and people.
The facility is one of Australasias' premier equine complexes, purpose built for the breeding, raising and training of the Paso Fino breed. Included in the facility we have 14 box stalls each with individual sand yards, 3 hot/cold wash stations, remote monitored foaling booth, full grooms quarters and separate laundry, kitchen and lounge. There is a sawdust inside arena and a sand-rubber mix arena outside. Surrounding the stables are cross fenced paddocks and just down the hill is 20 acres of free roam pasture. Adjoining the stables are kilometres of mixed terrain private trails.
Stable visits are welcome by appointment and we encourage you to make CONTACT if you would like to try a Paso Fino horse under saddle.
